Job Description

  • Windows servers 2012 R2 and Hyper V, System Center
  • Windows Cluster servers 2008 and 2012
  • Checking service now and ensure all tickets are being update every day
  • Ensure all the Emails are acknowledge during the shift
  • Working on tickets
  • Started raising Change requests following with approvers for approvals
  • Working at disk space alerts
  • Servers commissioning and decommissioning
  • Basic server OS troubleshooting
  • Assemble and load servers with the Hyper-v role and understanding how networking and storage works with Hyper-V
  • Execute Duties in accordance with ITIL framework guidelines
  • Analysis of new patch releases by Microsoft
  • Maintaining and monitoring of Windows patch/ new software.
  • Installation of new patches
  • Removing unused Windows Update installation files
  • Monitoring
  • Performing system monitoring, performance tuning, disaster recovery
  • Backup
  • Scheduling, performing and maintaining backups to facilitate data integrity, data storage and backup/recovery procedures
  • Performing System state backup
  • Server Maintenance
  • Compressing and archiving Event log files
  • Performing /Capacity/Availability Monitoring and Operating System Tuning
  • Disk Defragmentation
  • Restart of the servers at agreed timelines
  • Real time incidents (providing L2 and L3 support for Operating system issue)
  • Informing any major problems, service breaks to stakeholders
  • Resolution of Technical/Operational/Performance/Crash issues related to Operating System
  • Removal of temporary files
  • Performing Server hardening, system monitoring, performance tuning and process mapping.
  • File and Folder Access
  • Creating new file share
  • Configuring Home folder
  • Configuring profiles and profile path
  • Assigning permission to folders based on the request

Qualifications

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in IT or related fields
  • At least 4 years of experience
